So, who’s the M in SSM?

Pull up a chair. It’s kind of a story.

Our parents thought it would be cute to give both their daughters the same initials. So naturally, everyone assumes we’re the S+S in SSM. Makes sense. But then who’s the M?

Plot twist… we’re not the S+S, and nobody’s the M.

SSMCreative started back in 2000 as StandingStone Media, founded by Josh Lampe. Our tagline back then? “A little bolder.” Get it? Because a stone is a little boulder. I mean, who doesn’t love a good pun?

At the time, the agency was more into application development than creative endeavors. When the focus shifted to web design and marketing, the name changed to SSMCreative.

2000

StandingStone Media was hatched.

2015

Stacie and Finn took over the agency. (Mwahaha.)

2020

SSMCreative put all its creative eggs in the web design basket and unveiled SSMCommunications.

2021

Shannon joined the team. Wonder Twin powers, activate!

2026

Website in a Week is here.

So, why a week?

Over the years, we’ve seen custom projects take a month, three months and in some cases even two years to go live. That’s a crazy amount of time to commit to your website. So we tightened the timeline, streamlined the process and boom… Website in a Week. Think less waiting a year for the next season to drop, more binging the whole series in one weekend. Given the option, we’re always gonna pick the binge.

Meet Our Crew

Stacie

Website whisperer

  • If the Phillies are playing, she’s watching. If the Eagles are winning, she’s yelling.
  • Least favorite things? Broken links (and the Dallas Cowboys).
  • Superpower? Turning “it’s fine” websites into “oh wow, that’s us” websites.
  • Never without a book. Currently juggling Stephen King’s It, Influence and Dungeon Crawler Carl (on audio).
  • Builds Legos, book nooks and puzzles for fun. If it has pieces, she’s putting it together.

Shannon

Idea instigator

  • CrossFit enthusiast.
  • Theme party committer.
  • Sourdough starter keeper.
  • Mom. Times two.
  • Occasional true crime documentary detective.

Finn

Self-appointed meeting supervisor

  • Decides whether he likes you the second you walk through the door. No grace period.
  • Runs a tight schedule. Breakfast by 5am, snack at 10, walk at noon. Be 15 minutes late and you’ll hear about it.
  • Has a bark for every occasion, including a full-volume alert just for the FedEx guy.

Now you know our story. Let’s work on yours.
